I think bridging English gap is proving to be more of a challenge for Max than anticipated.
He is obviously referring to setting up a "Phonebook" (address book, distribution list) and "V-Cards" (the Outlook version of a Plaxo contact info distribution and management tool).
Apparently, he is setting up his computer in the first stage of preparing it for his planning and website development (or business).
