Thread: Need a Logo Made

I posted a job yesterday but have had no response yet. I need two things made, one for each site, that I can put on there saying we have free shipping for orders of $50 or more. I would like some kind of graphic on there, which I would send to the winning bidder. So far no bids yet.

Okay fair enough...
I want to have something that will go either in the top corner of my site, or on the side where the specials are that says "FREE SHIPPING ON ORDERS OF $50 OR MORE!" Than maybe a picture of a picnic basket on the picnic site and the coffee logo on the other. I do not want anything real big, just big enough to fit in those spaces.
Also the color should fit in with the sites but be bold enough to catch the visitors eyes as well.

Just made the attached. It's simple but you can use it if you'd like.

Let me know and I can adjust it's size and colors if needed.

Here you can have these two that I made for you.....
Everyone has given me sooo much here I just like to give back...
They are in .png format so you can put them on any backround you like because it will be transparent.
I also stripped them with stripfile so they take up less kb.

I am playing around with them right now to see what fits in with the site. Using Pix Resizer which is a great program!

I am working on getting the picnic one done. I was not happy with the way that pix resizer was doing them so I am using Navals php system and putting it on every page. That means I have to do it one by one... it would be okay except for some reason it is publishing really slow tonight! :( No worries though... if you want to see it it is on the homepage for sure. Hopefully by tonight it will be on each picnic page, than I will work on the coffee one in the next couple of days!

Thanks Pennie, I am adding it right now and it is quite easy, just tedious. All I have to do now is open a page, paste the html box in, save and publish. A few clicks and it is there for good!

There are alot of pages on this site, the coffee one won't be as bad! It is just finding the time to do that is the problem! LOL

Any chance you could make one for each the same size as it is on the page now www.wehavepicnicbaskets.com that way it would not look too bent out of shape? I would say it is bout what... 3"x3"?

See what you can do for me. I have not done the coffee one yet, so that will be an easy fix for me.

3" by 3" didn't seem right try this:


they are smaller then 3"x3" I hope they will work.

I am work right now and just checked email. I will try replacing the pic I have now with the one above when I get up tomorrow and will let you know how it looks. It looks like it will work okay though judging by the difference in size.

I copied the new logo and put it on as php. I now have it on every page on the site. I think it looks really good so thank you!! My next task will be to get it up on the coffee site too, which should not be too much work. I will do it in PHP too, and there is not alot of pages to paste it into.

If you want it to stand out more and fit into your site more
you might want to put a round rect. shape between it and the background like you did with the rest coffee site.
Just a suggestion since it is transparent.
Looks good though.

I think it looks good the way it is! I don't want to mess around too much with it! I have to get my a copy of photoshop so I can do stuff like this! :)

I am currently in the U.S ........ but soon to be a U.K.'er

looks good.....I couldn't live without photoshop but I currently only use 7.0 .... CS1, CS2, and CS3 are much more user friendly.

Well I am back! Game was no good, Jays got ripped 9-2 by the Yankees.. but saw 2 bench clearings! It was soooooo hot in the dome, I would have rather have sat in the rain!

I downloaded the Photoshop and installed it. But I am so green to this, I have no idea how to even create something. Can you help me out a bit? I want to design gift certificates that I can either print off and mail, or send them by email to people.

If you would like me to help you out with Photoshop I would be more than happy to. Maybe you should start with a program thats more easier to start off with?

If there is something specific you need help doing or figuring out I will be glad to help you out.

But trying explain the entire program would be imposable.

My suggestion would be to start out by running the program and going to the help and reading (if not all of it) at least the beginning of each category till you get the gist of what the different things do

Then take any image or photo on your computer and try selecting using each selection tool, using each filter, playing around with each blending option, and so on.

Each time you try something use the history to go back to the original state of the image so when you try the next thing you know what it really did.

Mostly, have fun, play around with it and see what you can make it do.... eventually see what you can make it do on purpose. :)

Also after you are done playing and ready to put things on your site...
There are some great posts on this forum about photoshop.
(use the search at the top of the page)

It's a lot to get used to.... but once you do you won't be without it. :)

Okies, you have given me a little head start on it, so I will just go with it and see what happens. I will read the stuff on the program and on the forum when I have time. I am sooooo busy right now it will take a bit!
