I'm in need of a simple template for a website I'm building with BV. All the templates I saw for sale on the template site were extremely busy, way out of my budget, and not at all appropriate for the site I'm doing. I just want a simple header, left navbar, maybe some type of border to contrast where the content will be. I don't mind if it is not unique. Please let me know if you can be of assistance. Thanks.

If that's what you want, then why not start with blank white page,
make your own navigation bar (Google likes text menu) and then you can
have the right column as contrast to your content white background.

Or you can make your background as the color of your choosing and
in the center have a white background as a text box.

Hmm...you make it sound so easy, however, I don't know how to go about doing this. Do you have a suggestion for specific software (hopefully free or something with a free trial period)?
