Thread: Technical questions

Hi experts,

I have some question if anybdy could explain me like a baby steps:

1 - what is the marquee and what it does?
2 - while inseting a plugin into a page, for wht exactly "an example will be nice"
3 - while inserting an OLE object, let say an acrobat file, it is to download it or to open it directly or what? because I also saw an after effects document which opened my eyes more.

1- A marquee is where text or pictures scroll across your web-page. Like an advertising banner.
2-A plug in object is like a video file that is played in a small media player such as WMP or Real player.
3- ole embeded object is like displaying a excel file directly inthe page. Sort of like taking a picture of your excel file and posting it on the page .

so that means if I have a video which need a plugin to play, I have to insert it?

You don't have too.... BV just has this tool so that you could. You could always simply upload the video to your site and simply link to it. Then when your visitor clicks on the link- their own media player will open it and play it on their computer.

Simply another tool to use.
