Post Editing HTML transfered from my other site

I have looked back through the threads and done a search, but I am still unclear about editing HTML code from another site that I was using (on a free trial basis). I had a page started that I was very happy with, but BV is easier to use. I was able to TRANSFER that page to BV, but now I cannot edit it. (IE, I want to eliminate the background and some of the text and images so that they fit the format that I have going on BV). Is it true that I cannot edit the HTML until I get an account with VodaHost? I DO plan on doing that, but I am NOT ready to launch my site. I would DIE of embarrassment if someone (anyone) stumbled across my half-baked web pages.

I am amazed at the wealth of information and incredibly SMART people helping on this site. So...can someone point me in the right direction here? With everything that I am learning (HTML, BV, ***X), I am on information overload, and if I have to experiment with VodaHost at the moment, I might have to start self medicating. Thank you.

I'm no expert but could you save the html code in Notebook and edit there and then somehow get it into the BV page...?

No problem...see no need for self medication...as yet...that comes later...lol.

BTW...no half baked sites either..that's how most of us started...1/4 baked, 1/2 baked...I'm still waiting for the oven to go off on mine...lol

I dont use BlueVoda but.. And this is an assumption as well as a question.. Can you get the account but without uploading your pages?

Hopefully that will allow you to edit yout HTML without showing half built pages until you are ready!(?)

You can copy and paste your existing html into NotePad. Then copy the reworked HTML and paste it into the HTML box offered in BV. It's the top icon on the left side of the BV Builder/Interface. You may have to re-position the box the get the page to appear as you want.
There are also tutorials that deal with importing HTML.

That is a good question Rob. I hate to put a 'Under Construction' page up. Those are as annoying as actual road construction. However, beegud2 gave me a great idea. I will see if I can edit, in my still-active, trial version of the 'other' site builder, and then transfer THAT page to BV. I knew talking about my problems would help! :)

Thank you Terry. I thought I had looked at all the tutorials, but then my A.D.D. kicks in and I start reading about 'Banners'. I thought I had perused all the tutorials, but apparently I missed some. Thank you for the notebook idea.
