Thread: Images

Hello Everyone,
Gary here(a.k.a. Shabu)
I have just uploaded another three images to my People 1 page,do I have to wait 12-24 hours to view them on my page,as all I am getting is the picture I had on there before,even after publishing.
Or do I have to update every page.

It is probably your PC caching. Try pressing F5 to clear it!

Gary, normally it doesn't take too long.
You only have to update the pages you want to!
Try clearing the history on your browser and and set your explorer to look for new versions every time the page is opened and see if you get the new one.
Republish if you still don't!

If you are using the Firefox browser it does cache pics in a funny way in order to be fast and convenient (which is normally the case). Refreshing as Bruce and Trish suggested is normally the answer but no... you shouldnt have to wait any time at all for the new pics to display.

Couple of things just to be clear though...

Are you new pics named the same as the old ones? If so then they should display (and without uploading the page again).

If using new file names ensure that you have put those file names on your page (as you normally when displying a pic). The page will also have ot be uploaded.

Thanks for all the advice guys and gals,it is still not happening,all the files are the same,JPEGs,I tried caching using F5,nothing.Any other suggestions which I could try.

I am sorry about this but,I am entering into unknown territory here,I am not sure about how to reset my explorer to accept new versions.
