Thread: I am so new Please Help

Hello Great BV Family,

I am so new in this part of job after I design website and
Download all pages in my cpanel. There I have problem
Because pages not show normal like in BV program. Each
Page with .bv I change into.html. Please can you give me some?
Idea maybe I take not good road to set-up cpanel and files.

What is your Website ? BV pages must be published through the "publish" button, not uploaded and the changed from .bvp to html. If you are trying to publish on a non VodaHost server, it will not work.

I may be wrong, but it sounds like you have uploaded with ftp instead of publishing from BV?
BV will automatically change the pages you have created to have an .html extension. Try & use the publish button at the top of your BV page. You must have a vodahost account for this.

Nice looking site & fits my screen perfectly & has that sunny feel. Couple of suggestions! The map on the contact page is a little squashed. Maybe a link to Google maps to open in a blank window? & a tariff area might help. I tend to go to the next site if I don’t know the price?

Question, I first want to state that I might be reading more into this than is there. When using BV to make your website do you have to use a VH server? Or can I use my own hosting company to post my website.

Nice work mate.. and the Hotel itself is nice by the way.. I think I had a coffee there once.. I live just down the road from you down Mt. Eliza way mate..

About the website.. I've noticed a couple of things that you might want to have a look at mate..
1. The background picture you use on all pages is linked to a dead link.. the mouse cursor changes to a hand when onmouseover the picture which will invite visitors to click.. but because the picture is linked to a dead link it may be a big turn off.. The link is dead because there is not 'html' extension added to the linked URL.. My honest opinion is that the background image is best without a link at all.

2. The page doesn't seem to have identical positioning.. example, the index page is positioned to the left while the accommodation page is centered.. and so on.

Overall, the website looks great and should do very well.. Nice job.

BlueVoda will only publish on VodaHost servers.
