    Default Control Panel Terms

Would someone please explain the meaning of the following terms as used in Control Panel.

    Unique visitors...seems evident
Number of visits...seems evident also but the following I'm not clear on:
    Pages
    Hits
    Bandwidth

    Hope someone can help

    Thanks

Thumbs up Re: Control Panel Terms

Ok, I'll attempt this! unique visitors: number of
'unique' or different visitors, visitors: total number of
visitors which includes repeats, (if you access your own site 20 times today, it will count all twenty),
pages: total number of pages openned on your site by others, hits:
total of hits , or site access counts to include things
like 'rotots, crawlers, search engines and other computer
generated internet devices in addition to the hit count,
bandwidth: the amount of data space you are using,
that is, the amount of data transferred back and forth.
For example, if folks were able to download from your
site, that number would be higher.
Maybe that will help you, at least until one of the
    'Generals' responds!
