I know that you can allow clients to ftp into a directory of your choice, BUT, can you allow someone to PUBLISH a BV page to a specific directory ??
If so, how is it done ?

David
you can create ftp account (username, password, directory) on ftp manager control panel. just make sure when publish your bv page, write username@yourdomain on username field and don't write anything on folder field
Hi Nyoman, I think I need a little more info on the above because I have done all above and still no joy.
I have tried i.e.
noname@mydomain.com/directory
and
noname@mydomain.com(/directory)
and many other combos !!!!
What I am trying to do is to allow a client to publish a single page to
one of my addon domains..............
What am I missing ?...................getting password errors.
as i said, do not write anything on folder field, means just leave it blank/empty in folder directory:
Server Ip: 1234xxxxx
Username:example@yourdomain
password:123xxxxxx
folder:
Done!
Nyoman, thanks for the info.....but not working for me......
Could you try to publish something to:
bruce@bluevodaforms.com (/bruce) (as seen in ftp manager)
password=bruce
I have tried with and without the brackets so a test would help me !!
Thanks
ps....will close above link after testing...............
Hi David. is your ip 74.52.42.242 ?
I tried but got error password,
tried to connect to ftp got the same error
if you have done everything, it should work.
something is missing here, try to change the password
If oyu go into your Control Panel click on the FTP Managment Icon and then you can add and delete or edit FTP Accounts. Hope this helps you out with your problem!

Nyoman: Have changed the password to nyoman
can you try again as its not working for me.......and yes you have the right server No...............
