Default Please Help... Navigation Bar Is Driving Me Insane..

    Good Afternoon Everyone.
I have tried to resolve this matter on my own but have now got to the stage that I think the whole WWW is against me..Haha.I will try to summarise my problem briefly.
I have designed my website (It's not brilliant, but I will be adapting it over the coming weeks as I get new ideas) I have saved everything, checked and double checked and triple checked that all the Hyperlinks are pointing to the right pages and that all the pictures included are the right ones for each page.Great !!!! I am ready to publish my efforts.... This is where the problems start.
Most of my main pages that link off to various products that I sell consist of 2 navigation bars, the left one that navigates to all of the main headings is working fine the right words appear in the right bars and everything looks great. The trouble is with the navigation bar that sits in the middle of my pages, with this one some of the words are on the bar are from other navigation bars from other parts of my website. I have tried everything exhaustively this includes..
1... Going back to the website builder and deleting all the words on all of the navigation bars and retyping them.
    2... Republishing them again.
3... Going back to the website builder and deleting the wrong words and republishing leaving the boxes blank.
4... Deleting the files in C/P public HTML and republishing them.
All of this is to no avail, the pages even after deleting them are still showing on my website showing the wrong words.
If it does help anybody to diagnose my problems all of the links that come from the bars with the wrong labels all do go off to the right pages.
Thanks in advance for any help sorting this out.

    Sorry..
One other question.. Is there a time delay from when you delete a page to when this is carried out on your website. I ask this because I deleted a page 30 minutes ago and it is still showing on my website !!!
    Thanks again

Thanks for that info, yet another thing that I hadn't noticed. The problems are with the Nav buttons in the centre of each page.. I will give you a brief example..
From my main index page click on "Wall Mounted Combi Boilers" this takes you to the various Manufacturers that I deal with, the First one "Ariston" is OK but the second one "32 HE Microgenus" should say "BAXI". It says BAXI on my saved file but when uploaded it changes.
Sorry it is quite hard to explain but hopefully you get my point. Stuart

    Ok, just checking!
I see the properties for 32HE is '/AristonSystempage.html'
which is apparantly wrong. It seems to me that when you publish the
updated version of the page, the link is not updating.
Are you getting any time out messages? I used to have similar problems.
I went into 'tools' , 'options' , Publish, 'connection timeout' and bumped it up
to about 600 and those problems seemed to have gone away. If it
doesn't completely transfer the page, then some data doesn't get
    updated.

I have not received any "Time out" messages but I will try what you advise. I was wondering would it be beneficial for me to delete all of my web files and uploading them all again ?? If so how do I do this.

You can certainly delete and re-publish.
If you log into control panel (cp) you will see 'Ftp Manager'
select it, and select the public_html folder
You will see all your uploaded files, basically your entire site.
When you select a file, it appears on the right column.
There you can drag it to the trash can and empty the can.

There is a tutorial on using the Ftp manager, just look
    in tutorials.

button, go to 'edit' , is the URL http://correct.html ?

Hello Vodahost.. I have looked at that link.. I am however still a little confused. My problems are not with the links etc to other pages on my site they are with the headings in the boxes. The boxes go off to the right pages but they are showing as the wrong name in the menu box.
Sorry I am not very I.T proficient.

Great website by the way my friend.
    Stuart
This has happened to me before and was caused by a code conflict on the page. I got around it by placing my navigation bars in an i-frame.

If you think this may help - here is a thread about putting your nav bars in an i-frame.

I would log into Ftp manager, and look very carefully at all folders.
You may have duplicated your index page. Maybe one page uses a
capital letter. I did notice you are using capitals on your page file names.
That can cause problems when sometimes you forget and save a page
without the capital or misplace the capital letter in a string.
    For example: index.html Index.html

I wonder if you are publishing a page with a slightly different filename.
If you take your time and look file by file in public_html I think
    you will find the problem.

Voda recommends naming all files with lower case letters as in the tutorial.

The problem is there, just keep looking!

    Amanda..
I don't think this would help me because the menubar that repeats all through my website is fine and all the words and links are correct. The problem is the menu bar that changes from page to page, this is the one that puts the wrong headings in the wrong bars, all the links are ok just the bar heading names.

I will also try changing all the names of everything to lower case latters. I can't see how this would affect it because it is not the links that are wrong it is just the name that appears in the box that is wrong.

Try submitting a support ticket 'help me' 'support ticket'
and someone can login to your cp and check things out.

Thanks Amanda for getting in, I think Iam starting to confuse myself
    at this point!

I am suspecting though that he is pointing to a page with a slightly different name so
he's not getting the updated version. (been there , done that!)

    Thanks my friend..
Just one more piece of the puzzle. The Names that are wrong on my menu lists, change again when you move the mouse over it.. I will change the Caps to lower case and then submit a ticket. I just don't want to waste peoples time.
Thanks again for all your input.

There is a tab in the properties of the nav bar called 'style'
if you select that and wait a few seconds, you will see the
current style that you have selected for the bar. On the
right is 'mouse over'. This is the alternate style that shows
when you move your mouse over the bar. Just change that to
match, or to whatever you like.

'post reply' should only be used to reply to the thread in progress.
Just go to 'home' and select the category you need, select 'new thread'
in the upper left of the page.

sorry, don't have an answer for your question here.

    Hello Everyone..
After a load of work I have tried all the suggestions that were listed on the above thread and unfortunately even after all the hours of re-typing changing everything to lower case characters I am still having the same problems with the words in the Index bars getting all muddled up.
I have decided to submit a ticket to try to get help in resolving this but I am having problems logging in. I am entering all the correct information (Email Address and Password) in fact just to check I used the forgotten password option and after a couple of minutes Blue Voda emailed me my password and it was the one I was entering but it keeps giving me the message " invalid email address and password".
    Please can somebody help..

You can submiit a support ticket even without email address and password. Just make sure to include your email at least in the ticket text, so that the help desk will be able to answer you.
But i beleive that you can get help here too. Just post the URL of your homepage, as well as the non working links and we can have a look

I would just like to say a HUGE thank you to all the contributers of this forum and also the BV support staff that helped me sort out this problem, It was my fault that the words in the Nav bars were getting jumbled up and it was because I was using the same pages as templates for others and just changing words in the original Nav Bars rather than cutting the Bars and starting with a new set. (Hope this makes sense).
Anyway all sorted and once again many thanks to everyone for their help.
