Thread: Heeeeeeeeelp!!!!

SOme of you may have noticed my post(s) about add on sites which I finally got published and seem ok for now. But, I now cannot only edit and re-publish my personal site, I put the files in a folder (which did not help) but now I can't get them out and get back where I started. I feel like an idiot with this thing and I use comp programs all the time making music...etc.

Who do I talk to getting this sorted out????

You do not need to talk to someone special here to answer your questions :) ... unless you need help with php form you can go talk to those 5 php form musateers, hehe

.. anyway! If you want to re-publish a page, just open the page in BlueVoda, fix it, save it then click publish and voila! Unless you are using FrontPage or Dreamweaver?

Thats what I have been doing for s few months, and it worked fine.
Then I added a domain, and it went sideways.
I was told to create a folder for the add on, and I could publish it.
But cannot edit and pub my main site.
I put the files in a new folder and still cannot publish or get them out of the folder.

Stuck with the gun at my head. Arrrrrrrrg.

Are you talking about files that are on your pc, or on the server? Please try to be as specific as possible. What is wrong when you try to edit or publish? What errors, if any, are you seeing?

I mean that I can create and edit the files on my PC, but when I ty to upload them I get an error 550 message.
And since I put the files in a folder, and named it, the pics have vanished.

in the folder field of the publishing box, what does it say?

please make sure it says public_html in the folder field

I tried putting public_html in the folder box in the publishing box, and it did publish. But under the wrong url. I am unclear on how to admin 2 urls in the same BV builder. I'll read the tutorials again, but could use some help understanding what happening here.

Thank you all for the input! I just put the public_html/domainname and published both pages fine. So thank you very much. It may not be the correct way to do it.....but its working.
