Mindy,
Is your home page called index in your BV folder?
hi and thx for answering my plea for help. YES YES YES I published my index page first....then the others.......:))) Mindy (Bubbees beads)
Check your spelling and also how you saved your page; if you published it how did you name it and what other pages did you publish?
Ty for your response. I have published the home page as INDEX I have saved and published other pages, no spelling errors all correct
where do I go to find the website? thx
Mindy, what other pages did you publish?
www.bubbeesbeads.org/...?????.html
Found http://stores.bubbeesbeads.com/StoreFront.bok,how are you saving your pages?
The page you published as index - you called it index in all small letters - with nothing else, correct? Sorry to keep harping on this - but this is the biggest and most common mistake - and as Bill said - what other pages have you published - give us the complete url and we can check them.
Hi Bethers and Bill....
Thanks for trying to help.
This is a list of how I named my pages and the way I published them.
I had tried to establish a webpage with Homestead but was unsuccessful. It was too difficult and they kept calling me on the phone, becoming quite annoying. that site was bubbeesbeads.com Would have liked to use that at BV but wasn't sure how to transfer it...Not to bother anyway, ".org" is fine.

Well, you don't want to publish with blue voda in the url - your url should be:
http://www.bubbeesbeads.org - no need for the /index.html on this page - then each successive page would be:
http://www.bubbeesbeads.org/earringsp1.html etc etc
That said, I can't find you anywhere - when you name the page - you aren't putting the full line in are you? you should only be putting in the part after the / and before the .html - it knows how to do the rest.
I'm a little confused about you having a .org name - as it looks like this is a sales site - people might not find you with .org - those have a different meaning and are meant to be used differently. If you have the .com name, you should move it over or have it pointed to voda and use it that way.
Somehow, Mindy, I think it still falls on how you are naming the pages - like where did you get to put blue voda into the name at all? Shouldn't be there -
You could submit a support ticket and they should be able to look in your back end and see what you've done - unfortunately, I thought I'd be able to find some of your interior pages, but I can't - not sure how you did this.
Hi Bethers,
I deleted the index.html from the home page and the bluevoda from the rest of the pages. Where should I look to see if it published?
Thx Mindy
Godaddy.com shows the site was created on Oct 1.
The status is: Inactive
I wonder if it just hasn't had enough time to setup or propagate.
Mindy,
After making those changes, did you re-publish each page? And I suggest you just do a couple pages until we have figured out for sure what you're doing wrong! I'm still getting page can't be found.
Hi Brad,
Thanks for your response to my dilemma... I've developed the art of patience since i became a computer granny.
Just an aside. Checked out your website and wanted you to know that firstly its great and secondly, I used to be a folksinger. I joined the Rooftop Singers (Walk Right In) after the demise of their girl singer, lynne taylor. My name then was Mindy Stuart. Nice to know there are still others out there interested in the genre.
Mindy
Hi Bethers, I resaved and republished each page... I'll give it some time and If I don't see anything by late afternoon, I'll just republish the index page and see what happens.
Thanks Again.........by the way, I love your hat :)))
Mindy
Thanks Mindy - and you should be able to see the page immediately after publishing - if the nameservers are correct and you get a success - you are publishing to the correct ip address?
Thax Mindy. Yes, I remember learning to play 'walk right in' on my
ole 12 string back in the day! Great to meet ya!
I am starting to think Beth is on to something with the server thing.
I'm not seeing the normal 'file stucture' that we normally see when
going to a site that hasn't been published. So, seems that the
dns name is not pointed to your server. Have you configured the
servers?
http://www.vodahost.com/DemoDemo/vd/2.htm
login to your control panel as the video shows, your servers are ns# and ns# (whatever yours are)
and see if it shows your ns# server has ns#.bubbeesbeads.org listed as the dns.
Hi Brad,
I know I may sound like a total idiot but ... WHAT IS "DNS" what do you mean by 'server'.........not sure what to do
thx mindy
If you mean by server number... I copied it directly from their email to me, it is 74.52.103.210 IS THAT IT?
Who is hosting your web name? Is it VodaHost or someone else? If it's someone else, they need to point your webname from them to VodaHost - that's what DNS is about.
When I did a whois on your name, it doesn't show it pointed to anywhere - so I think that is the problem.
And just to remind you - .org is supposed to be used by charities, and such type organizations - you might be questioned about having a .org for a store -
Hi Bethers
No one is hosting my website as yet except blue voda.......How do you get hosts, does it cost alot of money? how would I find them......for instance would I be able to list at google, or ask??
bubbee, did you get your domain name from VodaHost when you paid for hosting, or did you already have it?
they gave it to me.........said '.com' was taken
:(((
Please submit a support ticket and ask for a account reset. i do not know what you have done, but an account reset will fix everything.

She had a .com at another hosting company and when she joined
Voda Hosts, she bought a .org url. instead of getting the .com
pointed to Voda Host. So, even with the account reset, she
could still probably get the .com pointed over to Voda maybe.
Her original hosting was with 'Homestead' and it is a .com
ty, I have sent in the appropriate reset request. Just one question,
Under which tutorial do I find out how to get various IPs what they cost to list my website, etc. thanks Mindy
(www.bubbeesbeads.org)
YOur IP address is: 74.52.103.210
What you could've done is contacted the previous company
and moved your .com over to Voda to 74.52.103.210 server.
The server is the computer at the host that connects to the
internet and makes your site avalilable to everyone. You
had a hosting company (Homestead) but now you have
a new host (Voda Host).

Canot do that unless it has been 60 days since opening the .com site
thx Mindy
