What exactly is a HTML? What is it used for?

HTML: hypertext markup language. i.e. web language, create links, layout documents, etc.

Hey Bill to the first time web site builder' thats probally more confusing as it was to me . Not trying to do your job, but Tutorials are the best bet. Those should be STRESSED from start to finish cause I had to back to the 1st video in order to center my pages. I centered my pages with a rectangicular black background(shape) from the start and thought I was on the right track until I saw site on my friends whip 21" monitor and it looked all $$$$$$up. These new comers have to be stressed to follow instructiuons from the 1st tutorial to the last. MY 2 $ kenb $=cents

Hey bill2006 Hope you dont take offence to that post cause I just dont want anyone to make to the same mistakes I did. I almost gave up after the second week cause I couldnt even figure out how to link my pages let alone publish them. Have a cold 1 on me... kenb
