Linking Pages

I have watched the tutorial and have a few questions
1. Do you have to publish each page before you link them?
2. Do you have to link text and graphics separately?
3. I have a menu on homepage and a "back to home" button on each page, is that correct?

1. No you do not.
2. No, you link the page. You link the graphicsonly if they are used as a link to another page.
3. Yes.

I prefer good navigation on each page then there is no need for the "back to home" button.
