I don't remember is this question has been addressed before. I enter the url for a link and it doesn't work. I go back to check it and the url that I had entered is gone. Why?

The only time I've had something like that happen, was my own error - none has just disappeared on me. Make sure when you put it in, you save the page. That is usually my error - I'll publish a page, and it's right, but I didn't save the changes - then I close it. (Dumb, eh?)

This happens to me all the time.....sometimes I change the link word or copy a link from another page etc and the link has vanished.

Well not quite, its usually saved in the dropdown box.......

I realize now what you have to do. You must select the text, highlight it and then click on the link icon. Type in the url, then click on save, then publish. So many steps!

Lot's of steps - but easier than typing in all the html every time, which you'd be doing without that! Well, those who have been typing html as their main language would probably disagree with me :)
