Thread: what am I doing wrong?

Could you please explain me what am I doing wrong? I published my home page (index) successfully. I also published another page, but when I click on sliding bars it doesn't want to open. My domain is www.tatraview.com and the page, which doesn't want to work is named 'slovakia', (in sliding bars - About Slovakia). I didn't publish anything more, as the second one didn't work, so there was no point to continue doing sth in a wrong way.

Please, help me...

Vila... you need to link your menus for the pages to open.

Thbak for reply, but how should I link pages? I put urls in sliding bars properties - where else should I do this?

I couldn't see any of those menu items linked anywhere... you need to go back and check those items again to make sure that the page links are still there.. and republish it.

After you have created each page. You already have http://www.tatraview.com/ that was saved as your 'index" page, the second page could be "about_slovakia". In order for it to appear you must also save and publish it.
The URL that would appear in the NavBar is www.tatraview.com/about_slovakia.html with the "_" between about and slovakia.

hmm... it's me.. it works partly. the page 'About SLovakia' works. then I published the page named 'info' (general information - in sliding bars), but when I click on the sliding bars on index page - the page cant be found. is it my fault again? if yes - please, tell me what's wrong this time.

The reason any of your links do not work is because you have l****d them to sub directories which do not exist.

hmm.. all right... so - what should I do? how should I change it? any advice?

You are linking to page in directories that do not exist. your links will not work until you create the actual pages and directories or delete the links.

I'm v greatful for help but feel embarassed because I don't really understand what is wrong. Could anyone explain it to me in a v easy language?

my page has few sliding bars. home, about slovakia, around velka lomnica, our offer... in 'about slovakia' (page is named as 'slovakia') I have 5 subpages - general information (page is called 'info'), people, geography, history and Slovakia today(page called 'today').

the URLs I put in properties of sliding bars (on each page) are like follows:

www.tatraview.com/slovakia.html
www.tatraview.com/slovakia/info.html
www.tatraview.com/slovakia/people.html

so - where is the mistake?

Your pages should be www.tatraview.com/info.htm and www.tatraview.com/people.html if you want you can also name them ...com/slovakia_info.html Notice the underscore (line).
Save and publish each page and make sure you have the links for each.
