Thread: Help with publishing webpage for 1st time

I have just set up a web page in bluevoda and have registered the name. I have received all the information to publish the website. I am stuck in the cpanelX and cannot seem to go any further. It is silly I know but with all the information I have been sent I just cannot seem to know what to put into the username/directory/subdomain name. Can anyone assist me with this.

find Control Panel & BlueVoda Publishing Details: in your e-mail you received. (it's 3rd box from the top - first is 'package details' and second 'acount derails'.)
You IP address is there, your Master Username, and Master password.
so when you publish the page you have to choose the right IP from the options, and then put in your Username and Password.
did I explain it clearly ? Hope so :)

thanks for the assistance but it is still not allowing me to publish. I keep getting error 1204 when I try to publish. I don't think I have set up the cpanelx current addon domain correctly. That is where I am getting stuck. The instructions I was sent, I cannot add the username/directory/subdomain section. That is what is confusing me. Anything that you can explain to me would be greatly appreciated.

A 12014 error is a password error. Be sure that
you are using the cPanel username and password
to publish your page. Also, be sure that you are
publishing to the correct IP address. Both of these
details were sent to you in an email when we
created your account.

Did you manage doing this Darcy? remember - everything starts from the right IP address (I had a problemmaybe 2 hours ago with this- don't know how). when you click 'publish' - and the window opens - are you chosing the right IP?

Thank you for the information. I have used the correct IP address and the user name and password which was sent to me. None of these seem to be working. I am still sitting here scratching my head after 5 hours. I don't know where I am going wrong. eekkkk!!!

how are you actually tring to publish your pages? because I don't remember this bit from your previous post " I cannot add the username/directory/subdomain section"?

Could be a firewall or antivirus issue blocking.

Is Bluevoda added to your windows firewall?
How many firewalls do you have?
Is your antivirus blocking BlueVoda?
Can you login to your control panel?
