Thread: upload an entire folder?

is it possible to upload an entire folder using the file manager in cpanel?
i downloaded the formmaker pro and the instructions say to "upload the
entire fmp folder (including the folder) to the public_html folder" and i
can see where you can only upload files.

what am i doing wrong?

i tried to make a form for sending info to my email account but it dont
seem to be working could somebody take a look at it for me pls?

You can use your bluevoda FTP program to upload a complete folder....
and
your form needs a php script to send you the email.

Download Naval´s ABVFP form processor and you will get it to work OK

open blue ftp connect on the left is bv etc place file there for easy access later on then at the top nav bar it says copy too s press the file you want to send there and then copy too the public_html on the right

i set up my directory like the instructions said and i got the folder
uploaded and tried to run the install.php with my browser
and got the message Template Error: set_root: tpl is not a directory.
Halted.

Did you cmod the dir and files as instructed, if so then check that all the files have uploaded correctly...........

cmod....that is a good question
since i don't know what that means.

It simple means that sometimes a dir or certain files have to have thier access properties changed.
Check your instruction.....................

If you need to cmod a dir, you rig***lick the dir name and select properties
and then change the number to either 755 or 777 depending on the script program...........

i apologize for not understanding this right away.
my public_html is 750
the fmp is 755
i tried 777 and got a 404 message.

all i want to do is have an actual email form that
actually works....

the folder itself is 755
most of the files including the install.php is 644
do all of the files inside the folder need to be 755?

do not cmod your public folder/dir
If you are instructed to change a folder or a file then cmod that file or folder.

If you have read the fmp instructions you would know that you first have create a new folder and then upload all the files from fmp to that new folder.

Naval´s ABVFP (also free) forms processor is also a good one to look at.

Typical Error when NOT all files have been uploaded. And, please note that BlueFTP, FAILS to upload entire folders.

The FMP folder needs to be set at 755. The files within it must remain as they are.
