Hi all
I would like to buy a SSL Certificates from Go Daddy and use it on my site.
For those that are using it, was it hard to implement into your site. Do you have any suggestion I need to know before I purchase it.
Thanks
David H

leebring,
I have one on grannysnook, and no its not hard, however, you still need to purchase the dedicated ip from vodahost, then have them install the ssl, then u exchange the godaddy keys. Not hard at all, a little cut and paste. However, in the end it runs about the same price as vodas, only $5.00 or so difference a year

Ok, Thanks Karen I guess I'll go with voda after all.

Vodahost, just for clarification, SSL is included with my BV subscription? Saves me one extra expense if it is.
Thanx
Ok, now that I purchase RapidSSL l, I will be placing the seal on my site. I would like to set it up with a link when someone clicks on it, it will show that I am verifed. How do I do that.
Thanks
David H
No, Ken, it's not included - you have to pay for it.
David, I'm sure Karen will know the answer to that :)
I have another question. Must I advertise with the S in the url (Notice) https://www.owndefense.com that is the only way to see the lock. I mean if I want to submit my site to search engine must i type my url with the S or without it
A little confuse on the ssl stuff
Thanks
David
NO - you always type your site without it - only the pages where the site is secure (checkout pages) use the https -
David - if you are using paypal and going to THEIR site for check-out - you do NOT need an SSL. If you are going through your own merchant account - and building in Soho or Oscommerce, etc - then you need it.
