Thread: Do me a favour....please

Can anyone try to access any of my bluevodaforms.com websites
as I have not been able to connect to:
weddingdressmarket.co.uk
or
bluevodaforms.com

I can google, vodatalk, and access other sites, but I havn´t been able
to ftp or connect now for about 6 hours.........

Waiting for a quick reply until I put in a support ticket.

If you are asking whether the websites can be accessed, then I can see them both

It must be at my end then, because I cannot publish to or ftp to my main
bluevodaforms.com site.

Have you re-installed BlueVoda? A few weeks ago my 'Publish' button went for a walk abouts and I was told to re-download Blue Voda. May work for you.

No, not yet, as everything else seems to be working ok.

I have been publishing all day, and then about six or seven hours ago
I havnt been able to publish.

No problem. Hope that works!. Either your computer has decided it dont want to publish anymore or BlueVoda has lol.

I dont think that its bv as I cannot connect using my browser either.
I can access other websites, so I am a little puzzled at the moment.

I keep getting a 12029 message whatever that is...............

Error 12029 indicates that something on your machine (generally a firewall) has blocked access to the Internet for our software. To fix this error, either disable your firewall before downloading, or refer to your firewall documentation to determine how to allow access for programs to the internet.

Maybe David ... give it a shot??

Firewall is off..............but thanks, I havnt tried shutting everything down
yet, so am going to try that NOW (you gave me the idea)

When I got 12029 - I just had to reboot to fix it - not sure why it happens - but it does - even without changing settings.

Good luck! Least you know the website is out there for the rest of the world to access.

Some of the updates that we take from microsoft and even our internet security (firewall, whatever brand you use) are all about security setting changes, that's the update ... seems we have to configure at times after an update to allow certain programs, functions, active x controls, and sometimes just plain viewing of certain sites ... the holes patched may be good for some but deny services for general surfers .... at least this is what I find anyway ...

Re-booted and still have the same problem.

I can access my other sites on 70.86.134.194
but not the sites on 74.52.42.242

so I think there must be some sort of server problem.......

I am now going to put in a support ticket.

12029 Error A 12029 error is a firewall issue error. This means that one or more firewalls is blocking your attempt to publish with BlueVoda. Please follow the below steps: 97% of the time this can be attributed to your Windows XP Firewall Please follow the following steps...1) Go to your computers control panel 2) Click on widows firewall 3) Click on exceptions 4) Click on add programs 5) Add BlueVoda to your list of programs 6) Press ok 7) Reboot your computer You have now successfully added BlueVoda to your safe programs list. You should not have this problem again. If the problem persists. Your computer might have a secondary firewall from Norton or MacAfee. You will also have to BlueVoda to their safe programs list. Also if you are working from an office or you are using your companies computer or internet connection. You company probably has some type of network firewall in place. I havn´t used windows firewall for ages, its always turned off and my daily firewall is always turned off when I have lots of publishing to do.............

I have checked and double checked my system and firewalls.

The strange thing is, that I can publish to my other sites that are on a different vh server, so I suspect that its at that end.

Anyway, I have now put in a support ticket, and as its now 2.10 am here,
I am off to bed................
