Thread: Printing ?

One of my "Sawgrassvillage.net" web pages has 100 lines of data and when I look at print preview I only see one page and if I print it only prints one page.
There should be two pages.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong ?

web pages are not print pages and should not be treated as such. if you want your web page to be printable, you have got to create a "printer friendly" version.

I did create a printer fiendly version that has 100 lines and it still

How to make your web pages printer friendly.

Before we begin, I need you to understand that a web page by its very nature is not
meant to be printed.

A web page is specifically designed to be viewed on the internet via a computer screen,
if you want it to print nicely you must make it printer friendly from the very beginning....

For example, if you where to print out this page it would come out distorted and use up
several pieces of paper.

Have you ever visited a website that had a button that said...

"Click here for a printer friendly version"?

Tips for creating a printer friendly page…

1) White background.
2) text Aligned left.
3) No more than 150 characters of text per line
4) Little or no graphics.
5) etc....

After you have created your printer friendly web page, print it out a few times to test how
it looks and tweak it accordingly.

Hi, the other alternative is turning your page into a PDF Doc’s buy using one of these free programs. It will be more printer friendly.

Nora - did you ever resolve your issue with only one page printing out?
I am also having the same issue. I have created a printer friendly page that is two pages long but when I go to print preview it only will show me the first page. For example if I go to print preview this page from the vodahost site right now it will show me all the pages that would print. But if I go to the page I want to print on my site, it will only show the first page. I think it is a code issue in how the page is formatted. If someone could HELP it would be greatly appreciated.

Same issue. This is how I solve it.
I design it to be 1 page. People need to click the link to see other pages.
I think this is how BV works. So, I adjusted my pages.

Hi, website pages are not very printer friendly & you would be far better converting the page to PDF as above or offering a word doc download. The word doc tends to be a better print out if its mainly text.

Yes, I understand all of those thoughts. But I am still wondering why when you go to print preview from this site right now you will see all of the pages from this forum. But if I try the same thing from one of my sites or others built on BV only one page is displayed, PS this only happens in Firefox browser. I am just wondering if there is a code issue that can resolve this. ~?? Thank you to any one who could help.
