Cookies and IE6

I'm using the free affiliate software. Pap.
When a sale his made via firefox..everthing is ok. sales are registered and affiliate credited for it.
But when a sale is made via IE 6 the system cannot identified the affiliate. Sale appear in the merchant panel but no affiliate is recognize.
How can I solve this problem
I tried to configure P3P policy but as I know nothing about it....no result.
Hope someone somewhere know something about this issue.
