Default 403 Forbidden Message on my website

I have followed the steps to upload my website to the public_html file correctly, but it gives me the error "403 Forbidden" message, with the following: "You don't have permission to access / on this server"

    How do I fix this?

Hi, has your public_html got the “/” on the end of it ? IE: public_html/
And have you checked that you are publishing to the IP that was sent to you in the welcome email when you joined.

Yes to both. I have tried editing the existing html file in dreamweaver. This seems to be causing the problem, as I am unable to add/change the existing image.

Eliminate the "/". If not uploading to a separate directory, it should just be public_html.

Be certain you are using the correct user name and password and also the correct ip addresses like Chris says in your welcome email ....

if any of these are not correct, you will get this message ....

Be certain you have the latest edition of the blue voda web builder with the correct ip's .....

You will see all of this is the box that appears when you go to publish
