Thread: Password protection

In order to password protect your site, what technology does Vodahost support? I´ve heard of htaccess and IIS. I´m leaning towards htaccess as it seems to work with Apache. Could someone please help me with this issue?
Furthermore I would like to know more about the password protection section in the CPanel. A brief introdution would be nice

If using the Cpanel for password protection, will i have to create each user manually, or will it be possible to automatically create a user each time a new member signs up?

With your Cpanel type protection, you can only password protect a directory and one password will allow you in.

If you go for a member type program, then you can have multiple unique passwords for entry into a protected area.....
