Thread: So.. I published but.. where's my site?

I published my index (home) site, but when I log into my control panel, I can't see any file that looks like the page I created.

The closest one I see in the file I named index.html. I click on it and see it only with no pictures, template, menu etc.

So.. my question is; after I publish, where is it that I go to see the exact page that I've created?

Use the preview (just to the left of 'publish') at the top of Blue Voda to preview your page before publishing.
Then use the 'publish' icon to the right to publish, using 'index' as the name of the file.
Then you can go to www.whateverursiteis.com your domain is and see the page. If you log into CP, you'll see
public_html, and index.html

Once you have published and want to see your page online, type in your browser your url ..

http://www.yourwebsite/index.html

Everything looks good when I preview, but when I publish, I still don't see my website.

I'll keep trying here. Hopefully I'm just missing something really simple.

I took a look back at the CIRA (Canadian Internet Registration Authority) email they sent me when I registered my .ca address yesterday. Here's what it reads:

The requested domain name listed above has been registered in the name of ________. The domain name has been activated as of 2007/01/26, 09:19:08 (the "Activation Date") and will be accessible by the root servers within 24 hours of the Activation Date

Does this message mean that I have to wait another 24 hours before my .ca address is available to view?

Also, when I save my page that I've edited onto my computer as Index, that means that the way it is identified on my webpage. i.e. http://www.cardcaddie.ca will be the same as http://www.cardcaddie.ca/index

Good news, my site is up and running now.

I believe it just needed some time to set into the servers.
