updates work on one PC, but not on other

I have created and published my website, and edited and re published my site many MANY times on my desktop PC, and just little things either work or dont work, like, for example, i have a horse whinny sound effect as a mouse over sound effect for my menu buttons, and when i visit my site in my browser on the desktop, i dont hear my buttons whinny, but when i go to my laptop, i hear them fine. Now that i can live with, whinnying buttons isnt really that important. But today, i added a little horse galloping .gif and at that same time, I changed some of my fonts from Arial to Copperplate Gothic Bold to make it look more filled in and give my site that "western" look and feel, saved and republished all my pages, and checked it out in my browser on my desktop like i always do, and it looked GREAT!!!, really boosted my confidence in being a webmaster for our local Pony chuckwagon and chariot club. so i checked it out on my laptop, and the horse .gif came through, but none of my fonts changed on my laptop!!! HELP ME ASAP PLEASE!!!!

Does you laptop have Copperplate Gothic Bold font installed? Because if it doesn't you won't be able to see it; and the same will hold true for any viewers who don't have it installed on their machines..

almost forgot, be sure and clear your cache or your computer might be calling up old images instead of change - get rid of temp files through internet options or tools..

Its posible that your laptop does NOT have that font installed.
try installing that font on your laptop, or change to a more standard font.

yeah it does, I am afraid. But you can use text on images, or save text as jpg and that will work, and everyone can see it. not so good for se's, but if that is no issue, that is one solution.

im going to go check it out on my laptop to see if clearing my temp folders and cache works, can someone check my site and tell me what they see, Arial or copperplate gothic bold???

I see the copperplate gothic bold, but, I have it on my computer.
If that font isn't on a viewers computer, they will NOT be able to see it.

well i just cleared my laptop and its still arial to me, does anyone have any suggestions for a generic "westerny" bold font i can use??? thanks

Because here is one way.
You can use a program like paint.net (free download) and enter your text there. Then save it as a jpeg and then insert it as an image on your page. Everyone will see it then just as you made it, because their computerw won't be reading a font, just looking at a pic.

It's alittle more work, but if you aren't text heavy it is one solution

thanks alot, i really enjoy the quick response times, cuz when i wanna know something, i wanna know NOW hahahaha. so can you tell me how the different things on my site operate for you? like the .gif, and the whinnying buttons, or the video on the Photos page? do they come up ok??? THANKS ALOT! :)

Yeah, they are great. I like the horse running, and the neighing is a fun surpirse.
Couple of things about the video. I don't know how, but is there a way to get it to start immediately when the page does, no waiting? Search the threads and you will find something about it, it is pretty recent. Also, I would like the video screen to be larger, it is alittle hard to see. Again I don't know how to do that but I am sure someone in here has written about it, so you could search on that too.
I like your site, can hardly wait to see more pics

the first time you click on the photos page, you have to click play for some reason, but when you leave the page and come back it plays automatically. I will be sure to enlarge the video alittle more

yeah I noticed that it was right there when I came back, cause it had cached (loaded and stored) and that was nice.
