Okay I have a website up and running. I have cancelled that website but it is still up they told me it would take 6 months to get it off the internet. My question is can I publish my bv website if that one is still up? Yes it will be the same domain name.

If you transfer or point your DNS to the vodahost servers you can overwrite or ADD to your existing website.............

Whoever told you it can't come off - is totally wrong. As soon as you move the nameservers, it won't be online anymore.

Now, if they meant it can take that long before the se's quit having the pages in their cache, that is possible.

But if that website is already known by the se's, you want to rebuild as quickly as possible - so that they do keep seeing it and don't start you over from scratch in their archives.

I agree with Bethers. Get your domain name pointing to your BV site as quick as poss to keep the pr you've already aquired before the search engines clear out and you have to start all over again from scratch and trust me you really don't want to do that as it can take ages to get indexed properly and it's bad enough the first time around.
