    Default preventing search engine access

How do you prevent search engines from accessing or indexing a web page?

    Roger,
You can keep them from indexing the page from your site by adding a robots.txt file that included a nofollow tag.

But if you don't want them on the page at all - you'll want to make the page password protected. Otherwise, if someone else links to the page, they'll still be coming there.

If you explain what the purpose is of not allowing them, it would be easier to give you the answers that would best fit your needs.
