    Question Saving pages in folders

    Hi everyone.

This may sound quite confusing so please bare with me as I try to explain what my problem is.

I am obviousely using BlueVoda to design my website, and as I am creating each page I am saving it into organised folders on my external hard drive. I was simply wondering if, when I come to publish using Vodahost, the file path will remain the same.

For example, I have saved one of my pages in the following file path:

    ExternalHD -> BlueVoda -> benlanglois -> pages -> money -> affiliateprograms -> introduction.bvp

Would this result in the published webpage's URL being the following?:

    http: / / www. benlanglois.com / money / affiliateprograms / introduction.html

I am unsure whether it would do this automatically or if I would have to create these folders manually in my vodahost account (when I purchase an account).

Sorry if this makes no sense at all but I hope you get an idea of what my problem is!

    Thanks for any help.

    Ben Langlois.

Your computer folder paths are what you make them..........

Your main public directory/folder on youe website is where most files/pages are kept, but, you can create additional folders on your website as you wish.

Try to keep your paths/urls as short as you can..............

    Thanks for your speedy reply.

Just to clarify (it's late and my head's a little hazy), I could create the mentioned URL if I wanted to, in my control panel.

    Is that correct?

    benlanglois.com/money/affiliateprograms/ introduction.html

this would be a money folder within your public_html folder
and this would be affiliateprograms folder within your money folder
and this is a page within your affilliates folder
    introduction.html

You can create new folders with your FTP program or in your CPanel

    Now get some sleep..................
