Default Why my http://www.subdomain.com become http://subdomain.com

I have a problem here and need assistance.

Problem No.1:

Last Friday all my addon and subdomain have problem....people can't access these sites.
My Domain Name: www.mymamall.com
My Affected add-on domain: www.onlineproductpackage.com
My Sub-Domain: www.mykltravelguide.mymamall.com

This is the msg displayed:

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access / on this server.

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I requested support from Vodahost to solve this problem and on Sunday, all the problem domains online again except for http://www.mykltravelguide.mymamall.com.

And untill now, this sub-domain still have problem. Vodahost Support Center reply that http://mykltravelguide.mymamall.com can function. But this is not good for me. How about all the links that I've developed before this. I've write many articles that link to www.mykltravelguide.mymamall.com.

I've follow-up this problem 2x since Monday and still no reply.

Problem No.2:

I have created new folder from the FTP program (Smart FTP and CoffeeCup FTP). And all the files uploaded to this new folder was a success. But when I open File Manager from CP, all these new folder not exist. Is this normal?

And recently, I bought a new Autoresponder scripts and I have problem to install it. It's look like the script that I install can't connect with my MySQL Database. Maybe this problem occur because of ' the missing ' folder?

* Problem No.2 start after Problem No.1 happen.

Anybody have any advise for me?

http://www.mymamall.com/mykltravelguide/

Did you set the sub domain up in your Cpanel or simply upload a new folder for it?

And you've checked to make sure it's still configured there? I'm no expert in this area, but it seems odd that it's accessible as a directory rather than a sub domain.

This might be useful to you: it's accessible when the www is left out. If you link to http://mykltravelguide.mymamall.com/ it works great.

But http://www.mykltravelguide.mymamall.com/ doesn't work.

My apologies, you mentioned that in your thread title. All your links seem to be working fine, though.

Yes.... I have corrected the link yesterday....so all the link - working fine.

The sad thing is all my link with other sites and my articles....broken....and I have to start over again.

I wish I know the root cause.

How about Problem No.2, anybody have any idea?

On your question No 2:...

Have you set up the links up correctly to the database? i.e.

dbname = cpanelname_dbname
username = cpanelname_username
password = xxxxyyyzzzzzzz

Database name, username and password....all setup correctly.

Is it normal when a new folder I've created in SmartFTP can't be seen from cPanel File Manager?

As I dont use smartftp, I can not answer that question,

I hardly use my Cpanel as I find that the inbuilt BV FTP program does everything that I want.

Try looking for those new folders in BV FTP and that should answer yout question. (tools-ftp)

good luck

I also try CoffeeCup FTP, and the result still the same.

I try BV FTP, but can't login: 530 Login authentication failed

I try all the server IP in the list. (But this is my 1st time using BV FTP)

if you use the same

server number
username
password

that you use to visit your Cpanel, then you should not be getting the 530 message from BV FTP.

Can we type in the server number? Only can select from the drop down list, right?

However, I can confirm that connection to my database have problem.

For testing, I try Install Form Maker Pro, and I received this msg: Could not select MySQL database

during installation step.

And Installation of Form Maker Pro is simple process.

You are correct, you can only select from the drop down list.
If your server number is Not in the list then you need to download the latest copy of BV again.

If you wish, I can check out your problems. Just contact me through any of my websites.

While you're trying to sort this have you set up an error 404 file so that if people click on your old links they will be bought to the error page and then you can redirect them to your home page which is working. I know this isn't ideal but at least you won't be losing customers.

Please check your IP address. You are on Voda 7 which has recently changed IP address. The old server, with the old IP address, is still active (it will be for some time). Probably you are making the updates (folders, scripts, etc) in the old IP address ? If yes, then they will not work. Please read http://www.vodahost.com/vodatalk/new...ce-notice.html
