Thread: Pleae Help

My friend pastaway and I would like to make a webpage in memory of him but before I do I need to know a few things

1. will I be able to make the page so I can upload pictures of him
2. I would like people to light a candle for him can this be done in BV
3. will I be abled to upload things to his site like music and Condolences
4. will this have to be a webpage or a database?
5. Please help me with these questions... Thank You All! Ashley

2. you would have to be more specific as to how you want this to work... but the answer is probably yes.

4. it's not really an either/or answer... you will probably have to build a webpage that uses a database

You definitely can build a very nice tribute for your friend and indeed, you have come to the best place on the internet to do so. Use the free blue voda website builder and sign up to host the website you build with voda hosting, it is very economical.

You can create beautiful albums, galleries, single images, images laid out in any way possible, using some of the feature Voda offers within the blue voda web builder. There is plenty of help on this forum to assist you ... You can have an endless amount of pictures and an endless amount of visitors, you will never run out of space or bandwidth.

I've seen this candle lighting technique on other pages, and sure it can be done. More directions would follow later to do this ..

Music is not a problem, you need to be sure you have permission to use the artists music. You can install a guestbook and your friends can leave messages, you can even then make specials pages by taking some of your friends comments from the guestbook and decorate them beautifully.

You will build your website, one page at a time, and for some pretty easy tips to get you started, view the tutorials and have a look at my blue voda tips ...

Sorry i was gone for a few days. Looks like LE got you all taken care of. I haven't read her BV tips, but I'm sure they're just what you need. Once you start designing your pages, you can come to this forum and ask for help adding things like uploading options and your desired candle lighting element. I'm sure there are plenty of folks willing to help you build your tribute to your friend.
