    Default Blocking viewers

    Hi there,

I was wondering how I can block people with certain email addresses from viewing my website ... such as national@leading-edge.com.au ... when I try to get the ip address from the tracker in the control panel the address comes up but it is the same as when I put my own email address in ....

thanks for any clues about this ... just had a thought ... the domain name would be the extension wouldn't it?

Hi, you can try the ip Deny Manager in you control panel. I believe you can enter an ip or url in this area.

Please note that most ISPs only provide dynamic IP addresses. Meaning that if the user shuts down his modem (or simply disconnects) and then connects again, he will be assigned a different IP address, so you can't really ban him.

Thanks Collectors ... and Naval ...

So the best thing for me to do is to password protect the whole site eg public_html frrom the control panel until I am ready to launch it ? If I do that I can take the password off when I am ready ... sorry ... this is the first time I have built anything from the ground up and the first time I have had my own control panel ...

    thank you for your help
