Hi,

Load your pdf files via ftp to your public_html folder and then link to form to the file on your webpage.

Is there a tutorial for this public file you talk about? I don't know what you mean. Thank you for responding

Hi Raider,

here is the tutorial for you Blue FTP... this is the 'thing' that allows you to upload files to your control panel. By the way you can login into your Control Panel (CP) and upload files that way too.

http://www.vodahost.com/vodatalk/sav...e-blueftp.html

Login Page: http://www.vodahost.com/login.htm

Hope this helps...if not..post back and we'll get you going...:)

When you create a new folder, it is automatically placed on the bottom of the FTP window. So you will not see it until you refresh (F9) or you completely close FTP and then open it again.

Question Re: How do I load a PDF file?

Ok it seems that my folder ffaaforms is in place. I opened the (FTP Mgr.) folder and placed golfreg.pdf and golfspon.pdf in this folder. I went to my golf.bvd page and created to buttons.

The path is http://www.fairportpride.com/ffaaforms/golfreg.pdf the other the same except golfspo.pdf at the end. Still does not work?

What am I doing wrong now and why did my buttons turn pink?
Thank you all for your help.

Hi

I found your pdf here

http://www.fairportpride.com/golfreg.pdf

and here http://www.fairportpride.com/golfspon.pdf

Which means you did not open the ffaaforms folder and place the pdfs inside of there, you need to actually click on the ffaaforms folder inside of your control panel to be inside of it .. you instead inserted it into your public_html directory ...

Question Re: How do I load a PDF file?

Great I clicked on your links that you attached and they work for me too. But when I create to buttons on my page and then upload that page it sends me a page that reads page not found. And My buttons are all pink? I never changed the color of this.

So after your reply in the buttons my path read www.fairportpride.com/golfreg.pdf It did not work?

Thanks so much for your help on this!
Raider

P.S. Why did buttons turn pink?

Here is the link you have applied, it is incorrect ...

http://www.fairportpride.com/www.fai...om/golfreg.pdf

http://www.fairportpride.com/www.fai...m/golfspon.pdf

A rule of thumb - whenever you are in doubt about the url that you applied to a link - have a look in your address bar - it will be visible for you to see where you may have gone wrong ...

In so far as your button turning pink - remove the button, reinsert the button. (I think you have chosen pink as the background color for your text on the button.) Just reinsert - reinsert the new link and republish again ....

The button is pink becuse it is a transparent gif. Up to version 8, BV would ignore the transparency properties of buttons, so the buttons appeard ok. No, it takes into consideration the transparency.
Solution: open your button image file (you will find it in your computer, under c:/programs/BlueVoda Website Builder/navbar . Open it with Paint . Simply save it. Paint does NOT preserve the transparency information, so your button will be o. Repeat also for the image that you have selected as mouse over.

Links: you have typed in the URL field of your links: www.fairport.....

You need to add the http:// infront, otherwise the browser sees the www.fair... part and it automatically adds it to the full address, thus resulting in a wrong link.

Open and save:

In Paint, click Open, browse to the folder i told you and open the file of the particular button you are using. (Viewing the folder content as icons might help you trace the file easily). Open it, and simply click Save, without making any changes.
