Thread: Need help Computer Stolen

Hi. I opened a support ticket to ask how I can edit BVP files that were on my stolen computer this is
what I was answered, could somebody tell me in simpler terms what to do? Susan.


Hello,

If you do not have the original BVP files anymore, you can still retrieve them.

Log into FTP, or cpanel's file manager and download all the files, including all the HTML files.

Then, we will convert them from HTML to BVP format so you can edit them in bluevoda.

Yes, that would be the procedure. YOud have to redownload BV to your new computer etc. and follow the instructions.

Follow the instructions in the tutorial and download them one at a time.

I didn't expect an answer from someone as high up as you, but maybe you can tell me where i i can find the files i downloaded the new folder I made in control panel starts with HOME/WZK.../downloaded files

OK....one step at time...lets do this the simple way....

1) Go to your website on the internet, your home page.
2) Import directly from the internet, one page at a time
3) Save all the imported pages directly into your BlueVoda folder.

I know these are diffrent instructions than what Laura gave you. But I think it is easier this way.

Not only easier but it will also import the images . Importing from the local computer after downloading the html files, will NOT import the images.
