Default Linking to files stored in FTP - help!

    Hello!

SO my account is finally active and I have logged into cPanel and uploaded a couple of files to test them out.

One is a .swf which I want to link to.

I have right-clicked and got the link location, pasted it in - and nothign happens. I know this has worked when I used another FTP account.

Am I doing something wrong? Do I have to edit the direct link code in any way? Or am I missing something simple?

I've searched the forums and not found very much on this. Please help!

    Thanks

    PM

    Just to add:

I have also created a folder called music and put an mp3 in this too.

When i do a text link it does link to the MP3, however it shows a window in the style of cPanel.
