Help me with Forum making please

this is realy confusing i went to those php toturials and i went to that "change your board" or somethen like that but when i do, i went the demo at phpbb thing and when i clicked on submit it did not work do i have to buy it like seriously.
im not really sure how this all works but im a little confised.

To install a forum, go to your CPanel, scroll down to Fantastico and then look for phpBB or SMF. Choose the one you want (phpBB is easiest to use) and FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY to install.

thx buts its really hard to understand
but im stuck at the part when u edit ur forum but how do i do that the video don't show where to go for that in fantastico
but now i have another problem it says when i go to fantastico that i can't get in it because its not installed even thou it is.

no not installing but when you set up your forum like how many posts you can have and stuff i saw that on toturial but I don't know where to go thats my question.
