Hello. i have a question about php. I read that my account supports php. I just opened a new account and have an empty site. i thought i might install a php site. Do i have to configure cpanel for that or just go get my theme and upload it to ftp?

Your account does support php, but you have to create or find and install existing php software to the site. There are existing software you can install using Fantastico that have a simple wizard like installation.
