    Default Dreamweaver publishing problems

I'm using Dreamweaver 8 and trying to publish using ftp. Every time i test the setting it gives me "An FTP error occured - cannot make connection to host. The remote host cannot be found." This is what I use

What is the hostname or FTP address of your Web server?
    I tried http://ftp.cateredvibes.com, http://www.ftp.cateredvibes.com, ftp.cateredvibes.com, http://74.52.61.194, and http://www.cateredvibes.com.

What folder on the server do you want to store your files in?
    public_html

    What is your FTP login?
    xxxxxxxx

    What is your FTP password?
    xxxxxxxx

I get the above reply every time. What am I doing wrong?

None of the above... the reason it isn't connecting is because you don't need to type in http or ftp.

Just type in for the host

    yoursite.com

and then the username and password

Don't include http:// or ftp:// and if its a subdomain on the site that should only have to be added if your connecting to a windows server

    Register/Login Script
Do you use a Password Protected Directory? Need a way to allow users to make their own account, try my .htaccess Login Script
