    Question Publish test

I just published my home page only just to test if I could do it. I'm not finished creating it so I want to take it down. How do I do it? Also when I went to save the page in my favorites, it comes up untitled page. Why?

Hi, you can bring up your ftp in BV and delete it from this area. Or go into your control panel & delete it there.
The untitled part is because you haven’t given your page a title. (this is different from naming) To do this click on View > page properties & enter a title relating to the content of this page & save. This is also the area for your key words.

    Cheers.

As I understand, all my site files are in the public_html folder. Now do I delete the entire folder to bring my site down or do I delete individual files and are there files in there that I should not delete. Seems there should be a better way to bring down a site. Thanks

Hi, DO NOT delete your public_html folder. Just the files you have uploaded or published into this folder.

May I suggest instead of deleting your page, just modifying and republishing over it ...

    1. Save the page that you made for a sample with a different name.

    2. The remove the contents of that page and instead place text on this page something like www.yourdomainname.com "Coming Soon"

    3. Republish this page.

    4. Go back to working in the sample page and when completed, rename, resave and republish as index.

Ok, were there any files in that folder before I made my first publish, so I don't delete those files. If there was, please let me know which one's so I don't delete them. Thanks

My one page that I published is not completed yet, so I just want to take it down to complete. I just wanted to test to see if I knew how to publish since it was my first try. I quese I wasn't prepared for it to work, but it did.

Thanks to all, but I think I found an easy way to do it. First I changed the name of my index.html to home.html then I went into Index manager and set to no indexes. Now when I get ready for everyone to view my site,I can change the name back to index.html and republish. How's that.
