    Default Addon domains/sub domains

    Stupid question...
Iv already looked at the tutorials and the user manual for the add on domains and sub domains, but neither really explain what a add on or a sub domain could be used for, or how one works.
Iv played around with it a bit, gave my add on domain a website, and it doesn't seem to work on the address bar.

I apologize everyone, I know it's probably a question you may have come across a million times, but I can't seem to find my answer.

    sorry, and thanks.

An add on domain would be for a brand new site & you would have to either point an existing domain that you own at the server or purchase another one to do this.
A sub domain can be used to create different areas of your web site. so if you had a department store you could have, www.*****.mysite.com or www.clothes.mysite.com & so on. This you can do for free via the c panel.
