Thread: FTP help - Comparing Folders...?

Can someone explain how COMPARE folders function work?
Is this where I can manage my FTP files as compared to my local Bluevoda files?

I've noticed that if I deleted a certain file locally, it does not automatically delete it off of my FTP location as well. I assume I have to delete it off the FTP manually? is there a way of updating the FTP automatically or is Compare folders IS it?

Hi, you have to delete both.

PJ,

U have to "Click Connect" on the toolbar
Then U will be prompt for your Control Panel username and password.
Once connected the files in your Cpanel will appear on the rightside of the
page.

U can then replace files using drag n drop from left to right or right to left or
you can highlight the file in your right page and delete [X].

Do not forget to disconnect once U are done.

But, what does the COMPARE FOLDERS option do (under Tools)?

When I select that, it highlights the files...then what? I'm confused to the function of it...rather, am I missing out on something useful to this function option? LOL

I never use the function and my website is function perfectly without ever using it.
