Default Job Search

Hi there,

I would like to give the visitor of my site the possibility to search for Job openings in his region.

There are two criteria’s for search
1. The type of job (combobox 1)
2. The location (combobox 2)

My question is:

1. How do I input the job openings information onto my site in a table?
Name of the position
Company
Location
Salary
Description
Posting
Etc

2. How would a region/job title combobox search work to extract the info and bring it to the visitor while remembering that, multi job listings can be in the same region.

This Job Search page is located at: www.kgcinternational.com/job_search.html

Thanks

What you are asking for is a job search database script. In most cases, it needs to be tailored to the business that is offering it. It is quite an undertaking but can be done very professionally. It is not something that can be shown how to do in this forum from scratch. There are two members here who offer such services at reasonable rates.

I understand that it requires a script, I am however interested in learning more about table search (query)

The query issue is the last one in such a script. First you need to create the database correctly, the database tables, the forms that will gather the info that needs to be placed in the database tables, the scripts that will validate and process the form info, then you need some pages / scripts that will display the data stored in the database, and last, the search script. It is a LOT of work, which, as Andy said, requires knowledge and time.
