Hi Folks, I have published this page but cannot see text in the open white spaces which are actually menu bars. I have tried to place two screen shots in here to explain the effect I am not getting. The red elipse shows where the menu bars should be. Any help to fix this would be great. The problem site is www.gnjgf.co.za/results.php |

Your problem page is off-line at the moment, but just try the following: Cut the text box. Then use the Edit >> Paste to paste it back in place. Do not use any other paste option. Publish and view again. |

I see links "March 2007" on the left side of the first box with "Gallery" on the right "July 2007" and "Gallery" in the second box "September 2007" and "Gallery" in the third box. The links have not got the urls attached to them. |

Hi, the code for this menu is on the page linking to some pdf files, but I would be pretty sure there is a conflict with the other menus on the page & the scripts they are using. Would it not be better to simplify your menu system? Seems a very over complicated page.

Hi Chris, Thank you for the reply. You are correct the menus are linked to various .pdf's. For some reason they are not showing. This page is to be updated as time goes on and therefor simplifying this page might be easier. Your suggestion here on how would be welcome. It might also be a way of getting past this impase. The information that it presents is purley data on golf events that the kids play in and in time will become historical data. This data needs to be veiwed by everyone so it isnt a matter of just placing it in archives to be withdrawn on request. I hope this helps you. |

Hi Rob, you will need some one that knows code for this. Or! alternatively, Put your menu on a new page & introduce the other elements one by one until it stops working.

Hi Chris, Now I have done the toatal rebuild of the page. I have removed the slider menus - still to no avail. Maybe there is something wrong with the menu builder itself. Anybody know "code" that can help? |

For CSS menu's, this site has a good selection. http://www.cssplay.co.uk/menus/dd_valid_2.html

Hi Folks, Well after much trial and tribulation the problem is solved on my side regarding the menusthat would nt show. I have rebuilt the pages and made the following changes: Instead of having a slider effect or fading effect - I have reverted to the old and boring "normal" - It worked. I think with the othe rmenus on my page the sliders get confussed with one another hence the problem. So to those that might still tread this path here is the help you might enquire about. Chris thanks for the K.I.S.S advice - Keep It Simple Stupid. |
