I just wanted to know if we have to use your email set up or can I use an email account that i personally set up.....like an aol account.

This doesnt answer my question....i have an email account with my wesite name already created through my aol...can I put this email addy on my webpages?

Of course you can, you can use any email address you like on your site. You do get the option with all Vh accounts to have unlimited email addresses but if you want to use yoursitename****.com then of course you can.
