    Question Weather Icon

    Hi,

I have read the threads for this but I would like to use http://weather.msn.com/tenday.aspx?w...ons=wc:8536059. On the top of the page you will see a square with the current weather & temperature. My question is: how do I get this "square" onto my website so that my customers can click on it to take them to this page? I have looked but cant seem to find any HTML references?

    Thanks,
    Linda

You can do so from many places - but how about this one:
    http://www.weather.com/services/oap.html
One of the things I like about this one - is you can customize it to your liking.

The reason I am trying to use the MSN one is due to the fact that alot of the weather stations do not know where St Aulaye is !!!! Can you help me with how I can put the MSN icon on my website? I kknow how to hyperlink it but would like an icon which shows the actual temperature when people visit my site.

    Thanks,
    Linda

Unfortunately, I do not see that MSN has that option - have you tried contacting them?

And if they won't add it - how about contacting weather.com and asking them why your city isn't included?

Hi, its not MS & I don’t think you can use MS for this, but try pasting this code below into an html box from the link suggested above. Its even got a sun flower. LOL.

    <div style='width: 120px; height: 60px; background-image: url( http://vortex.accuweather.com/adcbin..._120x60_bg.jpg ); background-repeat: no-repeat; background-color: #607041;' ><div style='height: 48px;' ><script src='http://netweather.accuweather.com/adcbin/netweather_v2/netweatherV2.asp?partner=netweather&tStyle=normal& logo=0&zipcode=EUR|FR|FR002|ST AULAYE|&lang=uke&size=7&theme=&metric=1&target=_bl ank'></script></div><div style='text-align: center; font-family: arial, helvetica, verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 10px; line-height: 12px; color: FDEA11;' ><a style='color: #FDEA11' href='http://www.accuweather.com/us///-999/city-weather-forecast.asp?partner=accuweather&traveler=0' >Weather Forecast</a></div></div>
    Good luck

    Chris,

I didn't even check to see if his city was available from the one you posted - figured he had before he came back for more help.

Hi Beth Happy new year to you.
The one I posted can be a bit temperamental in the way that when the town is entered. IE: “St Aulaye, France” was ok & excepted. But “France, St Aulaye” wasn’t. Must admit Google can be like this at times as well.
The Google one is supplied by Foreca. But I think flash programming skills are needed for this one.

    Good luck.

    Hi Chris,

At last I've done it !!!! It took about 5 attempts before the website returned St Aulaye (typed it in exactly how you did) but at last I managed to find it & have added the icon to my website. HUGE thanks for your & Bethers patience.

    Kind regards,
    Linda

Hi, glad you got there. Would also be worth keeping an eye on your image sizes as you go along, as they are slowing your pages down quite a bit in some areas. IE: The image on your front page is nearly 800kb & should be around the 50kb. Have a quick look at the image tips in my signature.

    Good luck.
