    Question Different Screen Sizes

How will different screen sizes affect your pages? The laptop that I am using is a wide-screen but i want to know if someone without a wide screen will see the same end result from their web browser.

It depends on how your site is set up. If you have a table set to a fixed width of 800 (which is the standard for web design) then on a larger screen the page will take up less of the screen. If you use tables with a width that is a percentage of the window size then the page will resize to fit the screen. If you are not using tables in your design you page size will depend on what you are displaying.

One easy way to test it is by simply resizing your browser window. You can make it larger or smaller and get an idea of how it will look.

Hi, screen size hasn't got a lot to do with viewing your site. Its a really down to what resolution others have the monitors set at. As Mattski says, an 800 is a good around width to go by, & up to a 1000 if you want.
