Thread: Converting to e-commerce site?

I took the basic bluevoda $40 package and built my website, I am thinking now of turning my site into an e-commerce site, with the whole works, indivdual products, Search function shopping cart, checkout, credit cards e.t.c, what do I have to do to get this done please?

Install and use a cart builder as in soholauch, oscommerce, zencart, cube cart, or find and install your own, they already have all those features built in.

You can also use ADDON carts such as Cart Manager, Paypal Buttons, Or Mals Ecart. Your pages can be left in BV and copy and paste these codes to you products, and then you checkout on their site. To take credit cards you will need to set up a merchant account, or use paypal. To install a search you will have to install a script.

1) Login to your control panel and click on fantastico. Fantastico is the
little blue smily face that you will find at the bottom right hand side of
your control panel...

When i look in my User CP, this isn't that blue smily face, help?

Please log into your control panel and scroll to the bottom. Fatastico is
listed under Software/Services.

I asked them which "control panel" should I log into? The only control panel I know of is the "User CP" here on this forum? Anyway, I haven't heard from them as of this writing.
