Greetings- I have a flash file that I need to edit. I don't however, wish to spend $200 on Macromedia Flash to accomplish this. Does anyone know of a decent flash editor (specifically to edit a .fla file) that is free or for a modest price??? I have scoured google with limited results. Andy

You have 3 options 1/ find a friend that has flash 8 or flash cs3. 2/ look for it on ebay or like wise places. or Buy It New HERE 3/ find someone to do it for you. Be warned if you have brought or got a fla file or thinking of getting one. first check that it can be edited using the flash program you have. as fla files made with CS3 can't be edited with flash 8. "Collectors-info" offering to do the job and knowing of a software is two different things. |

I was only reading between the lines. That and fact that all other flash programs produce a swf file but won't read a fla, like coffee cup though there are programs out there will that will decompile a swf file into a readable fla file you would still need flash 8 or flash cs3 professional to read it. |

Sorry all- That was Jeremy's offer, to edit what I needed. As Alien has said- there is no shortcut here. One will have to pony up to create/edit the .fla file. Macromedia and SWish are the forerunners in good programs that I can see. If I find more info- I will post it on the forum. But while we are on the subject- Might want to check this out www.toufee.com I will be giving it a try as it appears to be able to make the flash I need. Cheers- Andy
