Thread: A really dumb, simple question! lol

I'm sure that this is a really dumb question!

My main domain is www.hayleysteuernol.com
I have an add on domain, www.brandy-brewer.com

I just created an album in jalbum & want to upload it the the brandy-brewer site using an iframe in bv.

when I choose publish in jalbum it asks me for the server - what should I enter here? I've tried so many combinations but keep failing to logon check!

please help!

Hi .. no not so dumb ..

what you need to do firstly with the jalbum is create another account for this add on domain .. otherwise it will go to the main domain.

Be sure to add your own folder in your control panel firstly for your album and then publish to that directory otherwise there is a possibility of overwriting any of your exisitng pages, as in index or contact .. these tend to get created along with it .. then link accordingly .. with this folder included in the link ...

I already have an account in cpanel for the addon domain, and I will create a folder - but what do I type in the server box?

Is it just www.brandy-brewer.com/ "new folder name"? I have no idea how to add anything to this new folder without using bluevoda!

Sorry, perhaps I wasn't clear enough ..

you firstly need to create another account profile for jalbum .. when you go to publish in jalbum you will notice ADD - that is where to now add this domain .. www.yourdomain.com

In so far as adding a folder for this album in your control panel.

1. enter the public_html directory
2. locate your add on domain folder
3. go inside the add on domain folder
4. create a folder inside called photogallery
5. when you create your jalbum use photogallery as it's directory

then you will find your album www.yourdomain.com/photogallery/nameofalbum

you could put all your albums in the photogallery if you liked just all named individually ..

Sorry - I'm still lost!

When I click publish & add I have 2 options

1) - Use an existing account on other server

2) - Activate & use my jalbum account

I was using the first option, & getting stuck - Now I've tried the 2nd with the username www.brandy-brewer.com & my cpanel password, but it doesn't work! Do I need to register with jalbum first???

Told you it was a dumb question - I was trying to publish to my bluevode cpanel, rather than to a jalbum account!
