    Default question on this 404 error

    I keep getting this 404 error
    file does not exist: /home/mypassword/public_html/favicon.co
    I do not have any such file and it is my password in it, has anyone else come across this'

    Joe..

    I think you tried to add a favicon at some point and did a typo.. it should be favicon.ico not favicon.co.. dunno why it should have your password in it tho.

    No I never added any such character as that it just beats me I checked out all my files and links all are working fine. I can"t understand it.

    Hi Joe,

    Copy the url address and paste in notepad and then go to your
    Cpanel>File Manager>select "public_html" and find the problem
    which could be one of the files, select the file and a dialogue
    will appear at the top right hand corner.

    Use the options to view the file and if you want to you can delete the file
    or edit the page html.

    I had already went thru my files its not there thats why I can, understand it

    the only thing that shows close to it when i go to the files on the left hand side which shows close to it is my file name which shows home/my password and that you cant click or delete

    Hi Joe,

    I think that is the one causing you problem. If you cant delete, I dunno how
    you can resolve the problem except to submit a Support Ticket to VH support.

    Most people will find this error in their error logs if they look in their CP, I wouldn't worry too much about it, I have this on all my accounts where I don't use a favicon on my site, and for the ones I do then I do not have this error.

    By the way, the link does NOT include your password, it is in fact your username!!

    thanks for the info all I was wondering about it why it was coming up cause i had no such file and was not to worried about it, so I'll just ignore it.
